Reason for the project

There is no consensus on the date of birth of Prophet Muhammad. Different sources cite different dates, ranging from 570 CE to 573 CE. Due to this, Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi instructed the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (Jakim) to conduct research on the date of birth of Prophet Muhammad.
