Im Not Traumatised Ex Manchester United Star Shows True Colours As History Brutally Repeats Itself

I’m not traumatised - ex-Manchester United star shows true colours as history brutally repeats itself

Manchester United fans have had their say after a former player spoke out for the first time since the Glazer family’s takeover of the club in 2005.

After an embarrassing 7-0 defeat last weekend to Liverpool, there have been calls for manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to be sacked. However, some believe that the club’s problems run deeper than the manager and lay at the feet of those in the boardroom.

Former Manchester United midfielder Luke Chadwick falls into this camp and is one of the few players who played under the Glazer family to have spoken out against them.

Speaking to GiveMeSport, Chadwick said: "I think these protests, as much as they're also about the performance on the pitch, it's also about something bigger. The fans feel like they've had enough of the owners and the way that they've run the club over the last 15-16 years since they took over," he said.

The Glazer family has been widely criticized for their ownership of Manchester United, with fans accusing them of putting profit ahead of success on the pitch.

Chadwick believes that the protests are a sign of the fans' frustration with the Glazers and that they want them to sell the club.

He said: "I think the only way that this is going to end is if the Glazers leave. They've had long enough now, they've had 15-16 years. They've taken millions and millions of pounds out of the club. Dividends, interest payments, everything else.

Manchester United were one of the biggest clubs in the world but are now struggling to compete with the elite teams in Europe. The club has not won a Premier League title since 2013 and has not won a major trophy since 2017.

Chadwick believes that the Glazers are to blame for the club's decline and that they need to leave.

The Glazer family is unlikely to leave Manchester United anytime soon, but Chadwick's comments show that there is growing frustration among fans with the club's owners.
