The track is the first taste of a new EP from the two bands, due out later this year.

MASTODON and LAMB OF GOD have unleashed a brand new collaborative single, 'Floods Of Triton'," via all major streaming platforms. The track is the first taste of a new EP from the two bands, due out later this year. The EP will feature four tracks in total, two originals and two covers. “Lamb Of God vocalist Randy Blythe said of the collaboration: “It was a no-brainer when Mastodon reached out to do this with us. We all go back so far together as friends and fans of each other’s bands, so it felt natural and comfortable to do something together finally.” Mastodon’s Brann Dailor added: “We’ve been wanting to do something together for years now, so this is very exciting. We’re bringing two different worlds together and making something very unique.”

The new single is a typically epic affair from the two bands, with Mastodon's soaring vocals and crushing riffs combining perfectly with Lamb Of God's trademark aggression. Kerrang! described the track as "a mammoth slab of collaborative brilliance" and "a thrilling meeting of minds."
